About
About AIGriefBot
AIGriefBot is an AI grief companion built from your memories of someone you love. It talks the way they did, and it is always clearly an AI.
How we build it
AIGriefBot is built by a small team. The more we worked on it, the more we realized how carefully something like this has to be made. So a few things are fixed: a companion is always clearly an AI, it never pretends to be the person, it never guilts you for visiting less or sends “they miss you” notifications, and if a conversation turns to crisis it points you to real help, which can't be switched off. You can delete everything, any time, and your memories are never used to train AI.
We read every piece of feedback, and much of the site has changed because of it.
What's always true here
- It's an AI, and it says so. Ask a companion directly and it tells you. It's a recreation shaped from what you share, never the person.
- Real help in a crisis. Every message is checked by a safety system separate from the AI. If something signals more than grief, the companion steps out of character and points you to real support.
- Private to you. Only you and the people you invite can see a companion. Nothing you share is sold or shown to anyone else.
- Yours to keep or delete. Download everything any time. Delete a companion and it's gone, voice included.
The details are on our safety page and in our privacy policy.
